Dear Fellow Grant Writers,

I started writing grants for myself in college and loved it. There is no better way to make money from writing than this! I decided to take a stab at writing grants as a career after some gentle pushing from a professor. To build my portfolio, I began writing grants for cash-strapped non-profits that couldn’t pay me but could give me all the work I needed. I am mostly self-taught, thanks to the multitude of “How To” books out there. The reason I have a bookstore link on my website is because I am proof that anyone can teach themselves to write grants if they are willing to read and write.

Since 2000, I have been writing grants for visionary people and their dreams all over the world including those in India, England, Senegal and the US. I currently work full-time as a grant writer in Madison, WI and teach grant writing workshops at the University of WI Union. I am very grateful; there is nothing I’d rather do all day that listen to people’s dreams, write them down and sell them to other believers.
