Description:
Daniel Webster College in Nashua, New Hampshire is seeking to contract with a consulting grant writer who has a strong development background and interest in working with the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs to sustain and obtain financial support for college initiatives, program curricula, and special projects. This is a 40 hour per month contracted position paid at an hourly rate commensurate with experience.
The grant writer will help identify and cultivate foundation and corporate prospects, work directly with faculty and staff to gather key information and materials for proposals, prepare initial inquiries and subsequent fundraising proposals and acknowledgment templates, and manage reporting procedures.
A qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree; experience raising funds from private foundations, corporations, and other funding sources; and a proven track record of successful fundraising proposals. Previous experience in a college setting is desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is necessary.
