(#531) Community Health Center is seeking an experienced Grant Writer with articulate writing skills, expertise in literature and data review and experience in developing evaluation models. Some of the Grant Department responsibilities include:
·Collaborating with clinical and professional teams
·Taking ultimate responsibility writing the grant application
·Research a variety of grant opportunities, write proposals, report and evaluate progress and acknowledge receipt of funds
·Recommend funding opportunities through appropriate federal, state, and private funding agencies for specific CHC programs
·Monitor and maintain accurate records and required documentation including regular status reports, proposal development, funding status and grant reports
Qualifications:
·BA/BS Degree (Master’s degree in appropriate area a plus)
·Five (5)+ years’ experience and demonstrated success in researching, writing, and securing grants
·Expert level skills in Microsoft Office and internet-related applications
·Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
·Ability to collaborate with other CHC staff and work on teams
·Ability to develop and sustain relationships with funders and partner organizations
·Strong organizational, prioritization and project management skills and the demonstrated ability to manage and track multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
·Not-for-profit experience preferred
CHC was formed in 1972 by a group of volunteers who were passionate about helping low-income families and individuals. As result of that commitment, CHC now treats thousands of patients from over 100 communities in its 22 locations. We want you to become a part of the excitement and grow with us!
In addition to primary care services, CHC provides specialty services such as management for chronic diseases including diabetes and asthma, podiatry, care for people living with HIV/AIDS, obstetrical care, alternative therapies such as mindfulness-based meditation, mental health care, dental care, and free breast and cervical cancer screening, detection, and treatment services for uninsured women. CHC also offers services for people who are homeless or in danger of losing their housing and victims of domestic violence. For family well-being, CHC provides parenting education programs.
