Welcome and thanks for visiting. I started Find Funding in 2006 with the mission of helping grant writers of all levels write better grants, attract more clients, and make more money. It provides value to grant writers through the monthly newsletter and the regularly updated blog. It also offers books for sale that I recommend to help improve your grant writing skills and funding options.

I started writing grants for myself in college and loved it. There is not better way to make money from writing than this! I decided to take a stab at writing grants as a career after some gentle pushing from a professor. To build my portfolio, I began writing grants for cash-strapped non-profits that couldn't pay me but could give me all the work I needed. I am mostly self-taught, thanks to the multitude of "How To" books out there, which is the reason I have a bookstore link on my website. Anyone can teach themselves to write grants if they are willing to read and write.

Since 2000, I have been writing grants for visionary people and their dreams all over the world including those in India, England, Senegal and the US. I currently work full-time as a grant writer for a school district near Madison, WI and teach grant writing workshops at the University of WI Union. I am very grateful; there is nothing I'd rather do all day that listen to people's dreams, write them down and sell them to other believers.
