Western Grants Specialist (Oakland)

The Student Conservation Association (SCA), a national force of conservation volunteers, has an exciting opportunity in our Oakland, California office. We are seeking a Western Grants Specialist to work with SCA’s Advancement and Program staff to achieve SCA’s regional and national fund-raising goals; write compelling and accurate proposals, reports, LOI’s, related correspondence; assure the highest quality and creativity in such materials while meeting multiple deadlines; and focus on institutional leadership donors (foundations and corporations) in the western United States.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated fund-raising success and excellent writing, editing and communications skills required. Team player, willingness to travel, and valid DL necessary. Knowledge of conservation/ environmental issues a plus. Currently this is a temporary position with the potential to become full-time.
